Team ARF is made up of dedicated ARF staff members raising crucial funds for the animals we rescue. Our team mascot this year is Max.

Max didn’t have the best start to life. He lived at a suspected backyard breeding operation, tied up in a yard, often without proper food, water, or sanitation. At just a year old, county animal services took Max into protective custody. Once seized, Max was confined in a county shelter. Luckily, ARF arrived soon after, saw his potential, and rescued him. Amazingly resilient and friendly after his previous neglect, Max was given a complete physical and lots of TLC to teach him about life beyond confinement.

He was only up for adoption a short time before an ARF staff member spotted him and knew it was a match. Her family even has a large yard for Max to run off some of his Australian Shepherd energy! He’s now the sweet, active dog he was meant to be.
